Hang Gliding

Another busy Saturday. Today was Morgan's last soccer game (to watch) and her soccer party. After the party, Morgan and I came home to clean out the pool box and do a few things around the house.

Kevin and Trevor went on an adventure today. They started at Mr. Jerry's lake. After a visit to the lake, they went to Mr. Jerry's house in Willis to do a little hang gliding. They are both so excited and said they had a great time. They both think they need a hang glider, now.

After the hang gliding trip, they stopped at Lake Conroe and went for a ride on Mr. Jerry's boat.

Last Day of School

Morgan had her end of school party today. She had a great time holding the limbo stick and helping her friends "do it right". She got her face painted (and then she did mine).

Today was also Trevor's last day in 6th grade. We're off to Junior High!

End of School Awards

Morgan had her end of school awards program today. She got an award for A & B honor roll for the whole year. Her hard work really paid off.

Morgan and Trevor both got commended on all of their TAKS tests, too.

Only two more days!

Fishing at Mr. Jerry's

We went fishing at Mr. Jerry's lake today. The kids had a great time. Even Morgan in her cast. We caught lots of fish and rode around on the lake. Trevor got to drive his own boat, but didn't catch many fish. I think he spent more time riding around on the lake. Morgan got to help her Dad clean fish. We enjoyed a great afternoon with the Fernandez's and the Soileau's.

Sorry, I've been so bad about updating our blog. We've had a busy few weeks. Morgan tripped over a tree root last Saturday and dislocated her elbow. She had surgery Tuesday morning in the Medical Center. Everything is fine and she went back to school today. We go back to the doctor Monday afternoon for a cast. Hopefully, she won't be in the cast long. She can't play soccer for the rest of the season and won't be able to participate in any physical activity until after school gets out, but she will be okay and that's all that's important. The best news is that the doctor didn't have to put any pins in her arm and everything should heal just fine.

Okay, now for a few more updates... Morgan started soccer a few weeks ago and got to play in a few games before her accident. She loves to play soccer. Trevor had his track field day at school today. He ran in a few events and had a great time. I'm not sure I was ever that excited about running track, though.

You have to check out the picture of my red bird friend. He's been hanging out in our backyard the last few weeks.
